7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (or thereabouts)
Leader: Rudy Darling   (530) 272-65041   rdarling@sbbmail.com

Meet in the parking lot of the Rood Government Center, 950 Maidu Avenue, Nevada City to carpool.  We will visit several habitat types up Highway 20 from Nevada City.  There we will learn how to make sense out of all those twitters and tweets emanating from those frustrating invisible birds in the forest.  Species we might hear include Hermit Thrush, Mountain Quail, Pacific-slope, Dusky and Hammond’s Flycatchers, Pileated Woodpecker, and Fox Sparrow, as well as the usual common species.  Expect to drive 25 miles. Easy walking on level ground.  Mostly standing and listening.  Call Rudy in the event of bad weather.

Field Trips are FREE.  For more information go to http://sierrafoothillsaudubon.org/.
