Nevada County Agriculture Tour

The Nevada County Resource Conservation District and Nevada County Farm Bureau (NCFB) have once again teamed-up for the 2018 Nevada County Agriculture Tour!  This will be an all-day event, Wednesday, June 13th, and will feature farm and vineyard visits that represent the diversity and innovation of agriculture in Nevada County.

The purpose of the 2018 Ag Tour is to provide the opportunity for members of the public to see behind the scenes at a sustainable goat’s milk lotions and soaps facility, visit a historic farm, learn about holistically grown pork and cut flowers, meet the beekeeper who sells you that fresh local honey, and taste some of Nevada County’s finest local wines!

Tour stops will include:

Nightingale Farms – milk goats and goat milk body products

Dinner Bell Farm – heritage pigs and cut flowers (separate locations)

Bakbraken Acres – organic farm

McClaughry Farms – apiary and honey (demo at Bakbraken Acres)

Montoliva Vineyard and Winery - wine tasting

Tickets for the Ag Tour are available by advance purchase only until June 8th and can be purchased by visiting or by calling Farm Bureau Manager Debora Totoonchie, at (530) 346-8146. The cost is $30 for Farm Bureau members or $40 for non-members (though now is a good time to sign up!). Tickets include air-conditioned transportation, educational talks at each stop, lunch, and wine tasting. Space is limited and is almost sold out.
