Ag in the Classroom
“From the cotton in our jeans and the food on our tables, to our landscaped yards and playing fields, we all depend on agriculture. The survival of this vital industry depends on educating and encouraging the next generation of decision-makers.” –from California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom
Nevada County Ag in the Classroom (NCAITC) is a local partnership organization that provides quality agriculture-related educational resources and programs to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of agriculture in our lives, to affirm where our food comes from, and to encourage continued open space in our community.
We wouldn’t be able to provide these resources without the help of our amazing partners. NCAITC partners include the Nevada County Resource Conservation District, the Nevada County Farm Bureau, the Placer Nevada Cattlewomen, the Nevada County Agricultural Commissioner, the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, the Sierra Foothills Research and Extension Center, and Sierra Harvest.
