Figuring out what to do post-fire can be difficult. Could there be a bark-beetle outbreak? What trees need to be removed – when should that be accomplished so they could still use the wood to rebuild cabins and for firewood? What kinds of trees should be used for replanting? How many? When should we plant? And how to minimize fire risk – what are the best ways to manage fuels?
Nevada County Resource Conservation District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
